Question about modern tanks like the M1 Abrams and T-90?

Could a molotov cocktail disable a tanks ventilation system forcing the crew out? I understand in World War 2 the Finnish disabled Soviet tanks with molotovs by throwing them at the ventelation area. I was wondering if that could be possible with modern tanks?

    No.

The tanks are designed to work in a chemical, biological or nuclear environment. They can button up and be self contained. Your little cocktail will do nothing other than get them to run you over.

FYI the weak point on the M1 is the (Censored by the NSA.)

If the Abrams and T-90 can survive an RPG hit.land mines and heavy caliber rounds,it will not be knocked out by a Molotov Cocktail.

There is no ventilation system for the crew.

And the air intake for the engine is about a 1.3 of the entire back deck. Then there's the top air filter and then below a set of 3 other filters. No flames would get past all that.

Modern tanks typically have NBC-protection systems, so their ventilation systems are probably robust enough to be protected from such a simple weapon.
