Is it dangerous to get an IUD while on the depo shot?
I live in a very small town and getting contraceptive appointments is very difficult. (I'm talking scheduling 1-2 months out). I had my depo shot about a month ago and I've been thinking about switching to an IUD. I don't want to go off of birth control at any point, but an opening has come up in about 2 weeks. Since my depo doesn't expire for another 2 months would it be dangerous to go and get the IUD anyway? Let me know your opinions.

No, because you would be getting to much hormones in your body. Now I don't know if this is dangerous or not, but it's better to be safe then sorry. So, I would stay on the depo because it's very effective. But, if you want to change birth controls, the IUD is effective, too. Ask your doctor to be sure. Good luck :)

IUD's are very dangerous. They can cause all sorts of problems.

Your obgyn will know the best option for you. IUDs are not something I would recommend though.
