I usually get tripped up on the catagorizing of my questions, how imoptant is it to catagorize questions ?

It is not usually important, but if you put a chemistry question in the Dating category, you are not likely to get any answers. A difficult math question in Dining Out category will not get answers. So the biggest reason to categorize correctly is so the correct experts see it.

It IS important to categorise Qs,no matter what some say.How disturbing it is when children are faced with totally intimate female content posted in the homework sections or in the predominantly male frequented sports category.As a female it makes me very angry,not only that such things are posted in the wrong section but most times that they are posted at all.Is there no modesty left in this world?

Some people specialize in certain categories and remain there. If you use the wrong category they will not see your question. Also constantly placing questions in the wrong category on purpose can be considered a violation.

It is not important in the least to me. In fact I rarely look at what category the questions are in.

I simply login to my YA page and select 'Recent' in the options bar.

This list all questions in all catefories in chronological order and I read through the questions and decide which questions I want to answer, or indeed can answer.
