Why can't I get rid of annoying popup ads on websites?
Lately I have had ads pop up on the side of the web pages I'm viewing that I can hear and half the time I can't even see. Or loud obnoxious music that doesn't seem to have a source plays for a few seconds. I've got the pop up blockers enabled but they don't stop. Help!

I use Firefox, with the AdBlocker Plus plugin, it is also available for Google Chrome, there are ad blockers available for other browsers, my only experience is with IE and none of those worked as effectively as this combination, really almost zero ads.

Google for Adblock Plus to hide the ads, and if that doesn't work try running a malware scan to make sure your system isn't infected.
