What really goes on in those new Atheist Mega-Churches that are springing up all over the place?

I will probably be excommunicated for telling you but most of the time is spent on crochet lessons, basket weaving and origami. We just put pictures of babby roasts and Pastor hunting outside the church to man up our image a bit.

From what I understand, darling, it's just some singing and maybe a talk about some social or moral issue. There's nothing set or dogmatic - it's just a bunch of like-minded people getting together to form a community, which was something they missed when they left their religions.

Ooooh look, there goes Liam...I mean Atheist SWIM, off on his hobbyhorse! He seems to confuse the websites of organizations like the FFRF and American Atheists with actual physical buildings in which groups of like-minded people meet.

It must be so tough for him to push that tired old hate-based agenda around all the time, but when you're as dim and bitter as he is, I guess that's all you're qualified to do.

    Poor thing.

Oh we have sex with animals and we do it with the Queen of England watching. We also burn crosses in the parks of elementary schools that allows boys and girls to go to school together. We also smoke lots and lots of the holy crack cocaine then have an Ecstasy rave party while pulling a train.....

And that's on the weeknights. The weekends are really insane.

Btw, I saw Fireball there the other night. She had 3 black guys on her while screaming scripture. It was wild.

There's no such thing as an Atheist Mega-Church. Are you talking about public schools, or science centers?

Thinking? Seeing the universe as it really is? Ignoring superstition and ignorance? Helping others out of a sense of caring and giving rather than making points with a god-being?

But, really, all you have to do is read the article.

All over the place? I hear of one once in a while right here. Never saw one.

Sounds like another cult to me.

Remember the rule: If it has a church it is a cult. It wouldn't change the rule for them.

They discuss fellowship and the nature of truth, reality, and ultimate morality. Then they talk about how they're not a region and need donations for greater outreach and to open more churches. It never takes more than a second of being on one of their websites to see a prominent "Donate" button (yet you never do see any meaningful outreach).

There are NO churches in atheism since atheism ISN'T a religion!
