Do I need a circumsized peanus?

Hey guys..... I just recently went to meps to take my physical, and the doctor told me that I needed to circumsize my peanus or it will get infected..... Anyways, I was wondering if I were to get my peanus circumsized, would the whole process hurt my peanus, in other words, would my peanus be in pain, and also do I need to get my peanus circumsized for boot camp?? Thank you

Anthony i think the doctor was stating his personal opinion and not fact i think what he should have said was that it may be a good idea in order to prevent infection ,,the truth is if you keep it clean you cut down on the risk of infection but if you are circumsized you reduce the risk even more due to the fact that there is more exposure its easier to clean and stuff can't get trapped under for skin . but its a very personal decision and you should make it after careful though and research

THAT IS BS. Ask for another doctor. He probably wants everyone to be sexually dysfunctional like he is.

THE REAL ISSUE is the loss of THOUSANDS of nerves in the inner foreskin, in particular the loss of the sensitive ridged band. Test this by pulling back your foreskin and running the back of a fingernail over your glans and then over your inner foreskin. If you cut off parts of your penis ("getting one") you will lose that sensation, as it turns out, that is very important for good sexual function, particularly as you get OLD.

KNOW what you would get if you cut off parts of your penis. A study in the International Journal of Men’s Health noted that circumcised men have a 4.5 times greater chance of suffering from erectile dysfunction. than natural men. Other studies have previously observed that circumcision’s damage results in worsened erectile functioning, inability to maintain an erection, and reducing the glans sensitivity, including an overall penis sensitivity reduction by 75%. There are other studies as well..

The knowledge of the this WOUNDING affecting sexual pleasure and function goes back years so there is NO IF as to SEXUAL HARM, it is a matter of HOW BAD IS IT for any particular guy.

You do not need a circumcision. Your doctor is acting irrational and he/she is deceiving is you. The doctor is deceiving you to so he/she can satisfy his/her greed. You should ignore anyone who supports circumcision.

The reality is that male circumcision is male genital mutilation. Your penis won't get infected as long you be safe during sexual activities & practice good hygiene and that statement goes for both intact men and circumcised men. Your doctor needs to know that male genital mutilation is not a preventive measure, this mutilation is more like a disease spreading abomination. This mutilation increases the risk of diseases such as HIV and MRSA.

Stay away from male genital mutilation supporters! These supporters are certainly not looking out for the best interest in your health!

change doctor. No penis gets infected from not being circumcised. If you're intact and you get an infection chances are your foreskin will get infected instead of the rest of your penis, and foreskin helps fight off and prevent infections. It's there to protect it.

Don't do it. Second, no you don't. US Military did studies and found circumcised men are at greater risk of infections than men who are not so they don't recommend it or force anyone to do it.

First of all the name is Penis.

I would talk with another doctor and get a second opinion. I see no reason to get circumcised as an adult if you learn to keep yourself clean. Circumcision as an adult can be fairly painful.

No doctor recommends adult circumcision if it is not medically necessary. You clearly have a problem such as phimosis which requires a circumcision to cure it.

If you are in the military then be aware that it can sometimes be very difficult to keep your genitals fully clean whilst on active service, so being circumcised is actually healthier for you.

I don't think they would care if you're cut or not. And you don't NEED to be circumcised. Many people are uncircumcised its normal. You only might need to if you're not cleaning under the skin correctly cause than yes...it can get infected. And yes it will most likely hurt after the snipping since you're cutting o ff skin but I'm sure they'll give you stuff for the pain....

    It's YOUR choice.

I had it done 3 years ago & I'm a Senior Citizen. Piece of cake.

No big deal. Yes - there will be discomfort for about 3 days - but nothing you can't handle w/a couple of Advil.
