Gluten free foods as an alternative to foods with gluten? Are they healthier? Does anyone know?

Ok I know what gluten is and I know how some people cant digest gluten. I was just wondering is it a more healthy for you to eat gluten free foods?! The gluten free foods can be more expensive but I really want to eat healthier this year and ive tasted them and they dont taste too bad. Are there any other advantages to eating them? I dont think I have an intolerance to it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)))

Gluten is perfectly healthy unless you have celiac sprue (which about 1% of people of European ancestry do and some lower portion of people of other ancestry) or a gluten intolerance (which probably another 2% of people do). There are people who don't know that they have a gluten intolerance until they start eating gluten free and feel better. But for at least 95% of people, it doesn't matter if they eat gluten.
