How do you get to be part of someone's network on here?
Is following someone being a friend and being part of their network? Or is that not possible?

Hey fellow kitty :D
If you add them, they have access to your Q&A should they choose to click on your profile and view. Your activity won't appear in their "My networks Q&A" (the one where they show three random Q&A in your profile under your list of questions answered) unless they add you back.
If you follow someone, you may be able to view their Q&A if they have it set to allow fans to view it. Otherwise they have to add you back. You can also set it up so that you receive emails when they ask a question. If you want someone to add you back, you can always ask them.
All this is for the old layout though.

You add them, or they add you. It works either way.
