Yes, having watched his career unfold before my very eyes in the last 20 years, not only is Peyton Manning an athlete, I believe that Peyton is one of the all-time greatest overall quarterbacks to ever play the game of football. Manning succeeded at all 3 levels of football (high school, college, and the NFL). In fact, I still remember back in the summer of 1993, when Peyton was the top prospect in high school football.

An athlete is a person who is proficient in sports and other forms of physical exercise. If you don't consider Manning, arguably one of the greatest QB's to ever play the game, then I would venture to say you don't know much about anything.
