Why won't my PS3 play games?
I played Assassins Creed for about 2 hours without a problem, but then the game froze. I restarted the game only to have it freeze again. I repeated this about 12 times. I then tried to play battlefield 3 and after the trophies synchronized, nothing happened. It is to be noted that my discs are not scratched. Also, it is a PS3 slim model if that helps. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like your ps3 is overheating. Make sure it's out in the open when you play and not in an enclosed space, and that there isn't any dust or junk in the exhaust vents on the back.

The tray where you place your disks might be somehow damaged. The same thing happened to one of my friends and he got the tray fixed in some kind of shop
