what does it mean when guys stare into your eyes?

Its polite to look a person in the eyes. I look everyone in the eyes. Girls, guys, girls i like, girls i don't like etc. A lot of people would say that means "he likes you!" but in reality that is not always the case. The thing is though, its polite to look someone in the eyes while talking but if he is starring at you from across a distance, without you two talking it is different.

1. He could be daydreaming

2. He could be looking at you and thinking about you (could be bad or good) but not realize hes staring into your eyes

3. There is a possibility he likes you but there is obviously no way for me to tell.

ok when guy likes a girl he does stare at her, but not like that, it be like every once in a while you would randomly turn and youed see him see you and he would immediately turn and make as if he was just looking around but if he is stareing at you and not turning else where when you stare at him it means hes day dreaming and has no clue of what he stareing and how do i know this,im a guy and ive dayed dreamed in class and later realized i was accedenty stareing at a girl with out knowing so dont worry just let be

either they have a crush on you and they can't help but gaze at you or he was just staring at something that was in your direction
