Is 7 hours of sleep a night good for you?
So lately I have been only sleeping around 7 hours and I wake up and can't go back to sleep to save my life. So I googled 7 hours of sleep a night and they say that a study shows that people who sleep 7 hours are less likely to develop cardiovascular disease, heart attack, stroke, and coronary artery disease, but you never know when it comes to those studies. now I'm only 22 so I'm not really stressing about those conditions as of yet but I just want to know is 7 hours of sleep a night healthy for you? And how?
This will be asked in the religion section because it seems to be the most popular and I'll more likely get answers. So you don't have to point out that it's in the wrong category.

if I could get 7 hours of sleep every two nights I would feel like the king of the world.
I do have cardiovascular disease and the meds they have me on makes me pee like a race horse.
I am up all night going to the bath room.
in the last three years I have made a rut in the hardwood floor from my bed to the bath room.
YES, 7 hours of sleep is great.
I have also heard the older you get the less sleep you need.
so be happy with the 7.
sweet dreams.
dang, now I have to go again.

While 8 hours of sleep is generally the recommended amount, 7 hours is also adequate. 6 hours is pushing it, but there are some people who function just fine from that much. 5 hours or less is when the mind and body really start feeling the effects of sleep deprivation. However, fewer yet are the people who claim to do just fine off of 4 hours of sleep, though they are few and far between.

I suppose it depends on the individual. I myself usually only sleep for about four or five hours & i feel fine.

That's a load of bollocks, 7 hours of sleep and 8 hours of sleep has no significant difference at all !

"Seven hours" of sleep, is actually "the statistical average".
And certainly enough.
I only need a few hours, myself.

It seems to be adequate so far. I seldom get more, and I have been alive for a long time.
