As a mock senator, can I propose a bill to reduce a school week to 4 days?
My bill for my class mock congress concerns a four day school week. I was wondering if I should change it so it's a school reform bill (for my state), including things such as healthier and/or longer lunches, longer/shorter classes, less/more teachers, etc.
Thanks.
How long would the day be if there were 4 days of school per week? Also do all bills have to be funded? Can a bill become a law without funding?

my school does have 4 day weeks, but the days are longer, be careful of what you ask for

You would probably have to keep the same number of hours per week. The costs would probably be less because of things like fewer school bus trips and fewer lunches.

No.
Schools are under state control.
Why don't you propose any bill for things under FEDERAL control?
