How to convince my stable friends not to go to a different barn?
I'm 15 and I have 2 really good friends at the barn where I ride/board at. They are sisters. During the summer we go on long picnic trail rides and do everything together and they lease in the summer. In the winter we don't do much cause it's cold. They are wanting to switch barns because they don't like the stable owner much and one of them wants to leave because the horse she leases is " being ruined" by one lesson girl that rides him. That lesson girl isn't doing much to help the horse, but I wouldn't say she is ruining him. To be honest, my friend isn't an amazing rider either so she isn't " fixing" him either. She is saying she is tired of trying to train him when other riders ruin him. I think they have in their minds the "grass is always greener on the other side". We have such good times at the barn but I think they are focusing on the negative too much. How can I convince them to stay?

You may not be able to. Honestly if they're not happy with the barn owner or the lessons that their horse is in it's probably best that they go to a different barn. You may not see the harm, but they're more directly effected by the welfare of the horse and it's their responsibility to do what they think is best.
It might be best if they go to a barn where their horse wouldn't have to do lessons or where they'll have more input on the lessons he gets put into. They may also find one where a trainer can better help them work with the horse and fix potential problems.
I know you want your friend to stay, but it's ultimately up to what they think is best for them and their horse. Horses are expensive and it's not worth it to stay someplace where your standards aren't met, especially when you're paying to board a horse there.

Being as they are leasing and I'm assuming partial lease then where ever they go they are going to have to share with other riders. The only way that they won't have to do that is if they own or full lease. Those things cost more money. Don't know why they don't like the owner much but it's probably because they complain about something they don't pay for and the owner doesn't give in. What would be funny is if they went to the other barn and still have to share with someone they don't like. You can bring those things up to them and try to make them look at reality.
