Help! My cockatiel is hurt!!?
I just got a new hand fed baby cockatiel (he's about 5-6 months) not even two weeks ago. He lives in his own cage, and there's nothing pokey in it or anything. But he's still getting used to me, so when I go to pick him up he freaks out and goes all over the cage, but once I get him on my finger he's fine. So today I went to pick him up and he started freaking out, flying all over his cage, and when I finally got him he was still a little freaked out but started to calm down, and I saw blood on my arm (just two little marks). Then I saw it came from under his wing (towards the front if the wing, and on the edge kind of). It bled just a tiny bit and I think it's stopped now. And he acts fine, he's eaten a bit and doesn't act like he's in pain.
So I don't think it's a broken blood feather because he's lost in total maybe a couple drops of blood. What else could it be though? Can it be a broken blood feather if it bled that little and already stopped? Should I be worried??
I never GRAB him. I put my hand in the cage with my finger out, he freaks out and then gets on my hand once he calms down. And he is hand fed, I know the place very well and have got babies from them before. The last one we got is my grandmothers and he was calmer because he was just weaned when we got him. This one is a little older so is taking a little longer to get adjusted. Just please someone tell me if you think I have anything to worry about. Because I've never had one get hurt before.

firstly he is not hand fed. i dont care who told you he was they lied. ive raised cocketial for a long time and they do not act like this when their hand fed, even if your a new owner. However you shouldnèt grab either, let him come out on his own. as for him being hurt, if it stopped leave it. dont waste money on unnecessary vet bills

Stop grabbing him. You're scaring him and he's hurting himself in the process. I always just left the door of the cage open and let them come out on their own.
