Unique dough pin's use? Does this rolling pin have a name?
A friend gave it to my Dad. No one seems to know the use of this rolling pin.

It might have been called a grinder since that is what it was used for. Grinding foods to make them easier to work with or mare palatable - grains, nuts, seeds, etc.
