What can I roll with to practice rolling spliffs?

I really need to practice rolling spliffs and cigarettes, I'm fine with using up my papers and king papers but I don't want to waste tobacco and weed.

So I was wondering if anyone had anything I could use to practice with?

I thought of using grass... But this was my only idea

    use the same bit of tobacco over and over again.

    Catnip. It's flowers, so a little chunkier than say oregano or thyme, more like the texture of marijuana.
