Is lucid dreaming worth it?

Probably.

There is no definite way to know if someone is aware that they are dreaming, while they are dreaming. A lucid dream is just an awareness that you know you are actually dreaming. Its nothing super special. Now there has been Neurobiological studies over lucid dreaming and hallucinations, but like I said, there is no certain way to know if someone is aware that they are in a dream while they are dreaming. I mean, I'm fairly certain that one time, when I had to pee really bad, in my dream I was looking for a bathroom but when I found a bathroom I knew I was dreaming and that I probably shouldn't try to use that bathroom in my dream. To which, I woke up and ran to the bathroom. Now was that a Lucid dream or was that just a response to a sense of urgency that my body knew. Who knows. I'm not even certain cause I don't know if I was aware in the dream that I was dreaming or if I became aware when I woke up from that dream and ran to the bathroom.

Though there was also this one time that I dreamed about Lelouch from Code Geass, and i knew that was a dream and I didn't ever want to wake up. But i don't know if I knew it was a dream while i was dreaming or if I became aware that it was a dream when I started waking up.

I've done the work to get there and it can be fun. I'm not sure what school you are using to get there but . . .

After working at it I had the best dream of my life which was a night with one of the mos beautiful women I have ever met. Worth the price there alone I think. I still remember every bit of it too.

I doubt if "Lucid Dreaming" actually happens. You just have a bunch of people who need to get your attention by telling you that they DO this all the time. Makes them seem More Spiritual - and you get to feel like you're really missing out.

Hysterical people have been calling this dumb crap into late-night talk shows for many years - and there's not a shred of truth in any of it - from UFO's to "Chem Trails".

I heard that covering your eyes with half ping-pong balls and then lying down in a completely silent room with an audio player playing static makes you imagine trippy stuff.

I did it once and I think I felt high, but I'm not sure. I didn't meet anyone though.
