Why are some girls surprised when they get pregnant?

wasn't pregnancy always a possibility.

    Because people don't expect it will happen to them.

    Aren't people shocked when they get in a car accident too? Wasn't there always a possibility of that when stepping into the car?

    People just don't expect certain things to happen.

    because they thought they were being smart. all birth control has a failure rate though some is small. no one thinks they are going to be in that 1% until they are.
