Plant/ animal that is both poisonous/ venomous and is used in medicine?

I'm looking for a poison that is both extreamly painful( though maybe not deadly) and is very useful medically.

    The plant/flower foxglove is used to make a rather strong heart medicine.....don't know about painful.
