How do I tell my parents I'm getting a tattoo?
So I have an appointment for tomorrow (monday) to get my second tattoo, and it's going to be an inner bicep tattoo. I'm eighteen, and paying it for myself but haven't really told my parents yet. I got my first one done back in the summer while visiting my friend so they couldn't have done anything if they knew beforehand, my mom was more okay with it than my dad (he really doesn't like them.) so I'm not sure about how to go about letting my dad know, I think it would be more mature to talk to him later today about it, but I'm not sure how to go about it and I don't want him to try to not let me get it, so I could just tell him afterwards but that's probably not the better idea. So what kind of things could I say when bringing it up if I talk about it beforehand?

Hey Kat,
You could be blunt and straightforward about it, tell them afterwards, or casually bring it up in a subtle manner. For example, you could start joking with him about it and say something about "matching tattoos", or joke about getting a horrible design, like idk, a monkey on a plane playing golf or something, or just say that you are getting one, or are thinking of getting one, and ask their opinions. If they think that they are in on the decision, even when they are not, they might be less mad or irked by it because you told them about it beforehand.
Whatever you do, good luck, and remember, it is about what you want, no one can change that, they can only accept that. You are your own person, and you deserve to have a say in your own life and your own decisions. Good luck! :)

let him know, it is YOUR CHOICE. YOU are of age and re-assure him you are taking responsibility if you don't like it, and if its because he's like :no child of mine.." I know how ya feel but I mean thts the beauty of adulthood, soon you'll be out of the house, living your own life.
