How to remove a critical virus?

My Laptop is infected by some unknown virus after I installed a freeware. After that the networking from my laptop is malfunctioning. Norton or AVG are not being able to detect. Its also not allowing to uninstall any program. Can you suggest without formatting how this system can be cleaned.

Thanks in advance for your time.

    To Start:

You can NOT have 2 antivirus software's installed at the same time, regardless if one is not active. It still uses valuable drive space and will conflict or cause a complete system crash.

Uninstall one or the other, your choice

    Norton Removal Tool

    AVG Removal Tool

No.1 Create a New Restore point(Can be deleted after the Removal is complete)

No.2 Run a scan with Junkware Removal Tool. JRT will do a Backup of the Registry for you

    Please download Junkware Removal Tool

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/junkware-...

Double-click to run the tool. For Windows Vista or 7 users, right-click

the file and select Run as Administrator

The tool will open and start scanning your system

Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your

system’s specifications. On completion, a log (JRT.txt) will be saved to

your desktop and will automatically open

No.3 Run a scan with AdwCleaner

    Download AdwCleaner

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleane...

Close all open programs and internet browsers.

Double click on adwcleaner.exe to run the tool.

Click on Scan and wait for the results. View the results to see if there is anything you might want to keep, otherwise click Clean

Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after

    the restart.

NOTE: To have Malwarebytes check for PUP's:

On " Action for potentially unwanted programs(PUP)"

Click the arrow and change to "show in results list and check for removal"

remove any anti-virus program you have (the best way to use its official removal tool). then install Kaspersky, after installation, update it, then run scan and it should detect it. Kaspersky is the best anti-virus.

to delete the virus manually, open the task manager, then go to process tab, then look for suspicious exe file, once you find it and know its name, then open the C folder and search for it by the name you find and delete it.

Note: this option is not recommended because it could cause some damages to your computer with manual deleting the virus.

Take it to a computer shop and see what they suggest.
