What do you think of the Heat and Net's "nickname jerseys"?

Allen: J. Shuttlesworth

Lebron: King James

Kevin Garnett: The Big Ticket

Paul Pierce: Truth

etc.

Does this undermine the game in any way? Or should other teams try it out too?

In my opinion, it's absolutely putrid. I have always think thought that the back of players' jerseys are reserved for their actual name and in practically every sport, that is the case. But, now, the NBA has made another integrity-losing decision and while some may prefer "Truth" over "Pierce", nicknames like "CB" & "JJ" are very uncreative and some are just plain idotic ("S Dot", "Plums", etc.). Overall, I really think it is undermining the game and I really hope this will not become a frequent occurrence in the NBA.

Overall... I think it was a stupid idea. Some were kind of cool... like The "Big Ticket" and Kirilenko's name being on there in Russian. But "King James?" Come on now. Get out of here with that crap. Seems like the NBA will do anything to make a few extra bucks.
