Should General Motors be allowed to pay a .30 quarterly dividend to shareholders?

The U.S. Government ( the people of the United States) lost over 10 billion dollars saving General Motors. from bankruptcy. Now, soon after the U.S. Government has sold the last of its G.M. stock at a humongous loss …… in excess of 10 billion dollars, G.M. announces today that it will pay out a .30 quarterly dividend to shareholders. Should G.M. be allowed to do this, or should the people (Government) force G.M. to pay back the people first?

They gave the government stock so aren't responsible for the decision on when the government sold it.

Even if they don't pay a dividend they won't be sending the cash to the government it would be reinvested in the business or other debt paid down.

I am sorry to have to admit this but we have to eat it. Our brilliant government decided to sell it for the price they got. It's no wonder our country is in the mess we are in. What do we do? We vote those morons right back in.
