Can we fix our medical system without fixing the illegal immigrant-status issue?

I know little of the complexities, what forces are at work here. It can't be as simple as my initial question. So......Won't they add lots of tax dollars? Are the lobbyists for big business to strong for our government to change this system of welfare for the wealthy? (In the form of paying illegals low wages).

Health care reform and immigration reform are completely separate issues. We are the only OECD country without some kind of universal health care, and not coincidentally, we spend more per capita on health care than any other country on earth. Like public utilities, preventive and essential health care is a need, not a want, with somewhat inelastic demand that reduces consumer bargaining power that is central to claims about free market efficiency.

Not sure what you're saying. Illegal immigrants are not entitled to the benefits of the ACA, nor are they eligible for Medicaid.

    no.......

we cant fix our economy and deficits until we fix illegal immigration and outsourcing of jobs overseas....and put taxes more like they were 30 years or so ago,
