Can i get french citizen if my great granda was french and my last name is carreon is french.?
I am Mexican from French decent from my dad side and found out that france once conquered mexico san Luis Potosi where my dads from.

No, the only way for you to become a french citizen is by naturalisation. And it is not easy if you don't have a nationality from an EU country.
If you were not born in France or if your father and your mother are not french citizens, you can't have a french citizenship just because of your grandfather and your name.

You can become a French citizen if you qualify for immigration to France, get an immigrant visa, move over there, work and pay taxes for at least 5 years in France, and then apply for naturalization.
The fact that you had an ancestor from France doesn't make it easier.

Only if one of your parents was a French citizen at the time of your birth would you have any potential right to French citizenship. Grandparents and great-grandparents are irrelevant.

Mum or dad French, holder of French passport along with French birth certs......... that the only way......... you great grandfather is too far removed and having a 'French language surname' makes no difference at all..my surname is a French language surname and I have NIL French ancestry..........
