How certain are you that Noah's Ark didn't exist?

Dr Irving Finkel seems to be 107% certain it didn't exist. This link is to today's Daily Express report about it:

I see they dumbed it down for Christians, since the version of the myth Finkel is studying predates the "Noah" version. The fragment he has is a version with Atrahasis as the boatman. Also, the narrative makes more sense in the original polytheistic versions because they haven't yet combined Ellil and Ea, the two gods at odds with each other, into a single insane god who undermines himself.

I'm comfortable with just settling on 100%. Anything beyond that is just semantics. Not only did it not exist, it could not have existed. And if it had been built as according to the bible it would have fallen apart. Some thumper did build one to those dimensions not too long ago. Of course he had to build it on a frame of welded steel to keep it in one piece. So, unless Yahweh also taught Noah how to weld......

@ Geesewere: You mean this "Noah's Ark" in Turkey?? Even the idiots who claim to have found it are only 99.9% sure, so less than Dr. Finkel. Regardless, pretty much everyone else who actually knows what they're talking about knows they haven't found squat.

    1. "How certain are you that Noah's Ark didn't exist?"

I am 100% certain that Noah's Ark didn't exist because it is biologically impossible for the story to be anything near true. You can't fit "2 of every animal" on an "Ark". You can't fit enough seeds, cuttings, etc. on an "Ark" to make the earth green again. And if you were to "Flood the earth for 40 days and 40 nights", that would make all the water on earth brackish and that would kill a vast majority of aquatic life, including both animals and plants.

Genetically speaking, we know so much about so many species that we know that this story is nonsense... Rice DNA alone is 50X more complex than Human DNA and the various breeds of rice show that it's far older than Humans and we can track the changes as it grows across the landscape... RICE proves that the story is nonsense.

    2. "Dr Irving Finkel seems to be 107% certain it didn't exist."

You can't be more than 100% sure of anything.

    3. I've read a book that says that Humans are aliens that were seeded here by aliens on Planet-X as a slave species to mine gold and that all world leaders are really Reptile Aliens. Anyone can publish a book on anything.

If he is sure about his views, he'll be able to provide evidence to support them and so far the "Evidence" to support the notion of Noah's Ark is easily debunked nonsense. If he doens't believe in the myth, it's not hard to debunk it.

Noah and Noah's ark DID exist. With God NOTHING is impossible.

Do any of you know how many animals there were in his time? Do you know how the land/s were shaped? If you can't answer, then how can anyone say it couldn't had happened?

It is not possible to be 107% certain of something.

    Really.

    =

Quelle surprise. Dr Finkel has a book out soon.

    Heavens to Betsy!

    >Noah's Ark is on top of a mountain in Turkey.

Yet you are unable to provide any of these "photos" that you speak of.

    I'm 109% certain. That's 2% more than Dr. Finkel.

    It's impossible so 100%.

The ark is a secondary piece of the puzzle. If you can convince yourself (which isn't difficult) that the flood didn't happen, then the ark didn't.

Get him "The Incredible Discovery Of Noah's Ark" on DVD! With hours of proof! It was 150 years ago, when the camera was first invented, that photos first started coming. And there are hours of them now! Noah's Ark is on top of a mountain in Turkey.

There are some atheists that are trying to hint it is elsewhere, other then say they do not want to show the proof.

Simply that with the understanding that the whole Surface of the EARTH was not Flooded, and that even a large part of the LEVANT, also was not in the Great Flood. The intentions of the Biblical Editors, were obviously en-gracing themselves, as usual, and in False Idolatry under the Name of Jesus, and in Mockery of true Grace of the Spirit of any God, of DIVINITY. ...0107.2016
