Why did Yahoo feel it was necessary to change the format of this forum? We don't need or want the ads?
and I don't need to see my statistics. It weren't broke so put it back the way it was.
I see the excessive need for clicking. Maybe we should all refuse to click for a week or more and see if they fix it. If it costs so much money to operate, shut it down.

As to the ads, those are required to keep YA in business. Other sites such as Askville are closing because they cost too much to operate. The only option is to make YA a pay site and Yahoo knows that will not work.
The new purple version was created for several reasons and MILLIONS of users are already using it successfully with no major problems.
1. It works better on mobiles than the green
2. It added several new features the users were whining to get
3. It was created to use newer software just like Facebook, etc
4. Corporate said to redesign to look more like Facebook, etc
5. To remove some glitches, which they did, but new ones were created
Give it 30 days and you will get the hang of it. Many people hated the green version when it started, because it was different. That is the same thing here.

I also don' need it, I use both by switching.
Get back to Green and switch to Purple whenever you want !?!:
Use the Add-ons "User Agent Overrider" for Firefox or "User Agent Switcher" for Chrome to get Green back. Set them to IE6 or Opera 12.00. Apple Safari has a built-in User Agent Switcher. And Internet Explorer has got a Compatibility Mode.
You are able to switch always and easy between Green and Purple.
