Question about preordering at gamestop?
So I preordered the elder scrolls online physical imperial edition, and did all the information and stuff, then finished ordering, but then afterwards at the order confirmation page, it says my name with my dads credit card, (I used my dads credit card for purchase), and my father told me that his name should be with the credit card, or else it'll be denied when shipping. So is that true? Or will it still ship? Because they never asked to give me a name on the credit card information page. It just had me type in my name in the first step. (so I typed my own name). So, will it still ship, even though it says my name on his credit card?
Thanks so much in advance

Credit Cards use the Name and Address just like it uses the numbers. It is a security part that if the name and address does not match the name and address on the card in the data base, it will read it as invalid.
(For an online purchase: If you put your name as the person that is purchasing the game, and not your name when you were keying in the credit card information, then you should be fine.
For a in store purchase: If at the very top where it says who made the transaction was your name, and farther down it shows payment method and it's your father's card, you should be fine
If you did those two things, ignore the rest of what I said)
The best thing to do is to resolve it with a manager at the Gamestop that you made the transaction with, or online support if you pre-orded online. Otherwise it won't take the money out when they attempt to take it out, and it won't be shipped, leading to you losing your pre-order.
(Also note that no one will know it's that name that caused it to be denied, it won't specify, so they will just naturally assume you didn't have enough money on the card)

To make it simple:
The Billing Address has to match the credit card, so your father's name will have to be used for the billing address if it's his card - otherwise the credit card will deny the transaction.
The Shipping Address, however, can have anyone's name but it's preferred that the same address and same last name is used. Most companies ship regardless, though.
Best of luck.

Since you probably live with your dad and probably have the same last name it shouldnt matter because it will match his address and last name.
Like Fate said, shipping name doesnt matter. You could put Elvis Presley or Megatron. I work for a logistics company, Apex Logistics, as well as I work for Gamestop as well, and all fedex, ups, and usps look for is the address, weight, dims, account number; everything else is irrelevant.
