Is it illigal to make fun of a talk show host in a song?
I speak of the one and only Glen Beck. If I wrote a heavy metal song kind of making fun of how serious and conspiratorial he has been, how he didn't represent Fox News well, would I be at risk of being sued or charged? What about if I exaggerated a thing he said a couple times and wrote in the lyrics that he does it "every darn day"? Would I need to be accurate about his activities to a "T"?

I think its fine, because the person is already on TV, and he's already putting himself out there. If that was true, then a lot of magazines, websites, articles would be sued because they make fun of celebrities a lot and they bring false information.
Its not like your singing about an infamous individual, thats where you have to get approval. Ex: you can't make a website and bash someone you don't like if there not famous.
