"Mt Rushmore" of pitchers from the past 40 years?
Too hard to tell who cheated or not. I won't pick relievers here. Starters of the last 40 years?
My quick list?
Randy Johnson.
Pedro Martinez.
Ron Guidry.
Greg Maddox.
Throw in (no pun intended): Stieb, Gooden, Morris, Valenzuela...
Who else, and who am I wrong with?

1974 to 2013 means we miss the very best of Seaver, otherwise he'd be here.
Pedro, Clemens, Maddux, Johnson.

I'd pick Roger Clemens, Greg Maddux, Randy Johnson, and Tom Seaver.
I can't justify Nolan Ryan ahead of several other pitchers of his generation, like Seaver, Niekro, Carlton, Perry, or Blyleven - Ryan just wasn't that good at preventing runs.

I don't see Nolan Ryan, Roger Clemens Curt Schilling, Fernando Valenzuela and I am assuming you are only looking at Starting Pitchers because you've left out a lot of Great Relievers and Closers such as Rollie Fingers, Dennis Eckersley, Mariano Rivera to name a few.
