You can't look for love, that always ends in disaster. You just live your life and you make friends. Sometimes friends become more than just friends. Looking for love is a waste of time and you will always have your heart broken.

I would suggest you move to a gay center like San Francisco. You would be much more likely to meet a white man who likes you there than remaining in Illinois. But you can meet people anywhere. I would recommend you volunteer at an AIDS foundation, PAWS or some other gay charity. You will be more likely to meet someone doing volunteer work than searching on the Internet or worse, in the clubs.

You just have to trust that eventually you will meet that special someone. I know that sometimes it seems difficult or like it will never happen but please be patient until the right guy comes along. I know exactly how you feel because I prefer guys that are black or dark skinned or different races. I met my boyfriend and the love of my life and it was something neither one of us planned. It was just meeting each other, developing a friendship, and then falling in love with each other.
