Is it Christian behaviour to block another user?
I answered a question that suggested the Old Testament was invalid because of the New Testament by suggesting that without the Old the New was no more relevant than used toilet paper, so the asker blocked me. What ever happened to turning the other cheek?
Sorry, the pun was too hard to resist, but the point remains that Christ required his followers to accept offence without retaliation. Is Samual (the other user) demonstrating unChristian behaviour?

Sadly they have such weak faith and very real fear of those that have the education and intellect that they have to block them!
But hey they waved the white flag, admitted you beat them and surely therefore admitted they are the ones in the wrong!
I suspect that if Yahoo was able to check properly most would be children far too young to legitimately be on here!

my philosophy on R&S for more than ten years was to never block anyone unless they blocked me. for the longest time i only had about 30 blocked people, but 30 accounts multiplied into 200 accounts. go figure. i lost track of how many people blocked me, only because im a mormon, and because i teach alternate religious beliefs which i think are more true than say like the Trinity.
there are a few now that i think needed to be blocked because they are severely notorious for being trolls.
i always report violations that personally insult me. i would rather not report anyone, but in the past i have reported thousands of violations. usually however i just thumbs down what i disagree with.

Blocking someone is not inconsistent with the teachings of Jesus. He said turn the other cheek, he did not say that his followers had to sit and listen to someone who is insulting a person with the use of childish toilet references.
If i was a Christian, I might do the same as they did.

Sometimes it's a Christian thing to do, depending on the situation. I usually ignore things that I don't like, but sometimes somebody really does take it too far. I have only permanently blocked one person. I would not have blocked you for what you said.

Is it mature behavior to gossip about another R&S user in a question? By using his name, especially, instead of just mentioning what happened?
Your saying the OT was as relevant as toilet paper probably did the trick. Very rude comment.

Christians are not required to listen to, or read, what you have to say. And maybe you are just a bit oversensitive if you consider disinterest in your ideas "retaliation"
