How often do you have to fill up on gas with a hybrid car?
I am considering buying a hybrid car because I need a car that is better on gas. Right now I am driving an explorer and I have to fill up twice a week. How often would I have to fill up with a hybrid car? Also how many miles per gallon do some of them average? Id like to hear from experienced hybrid users.

So you're wanting to spend about $30,000 to save $50 a week on fuel. You'll break even some time around 2025.

I fill up twice a month and I own a Kia Optima Hybrid. It's about $95 per month which averages about $23.5 a week. I love hybrids. You should definitely get one.

For pete sakes, buy a non-hybrid Toyota Camry if you want to save fuel
With the money you're saving with a hybrid you had better sock it away to put it towards the battery pack underneath the car which will cost between $3,500 - $5,000 when they go to heck.
We'll bet nobody has told you hybrid cars aren't worth squat when you trade them in.
