how can you find out what apps someone used on a photo without haing to ask them?

I want to know where this person get their apps from or where are they getting their effects from for the photos they create , but without having to ask them is this possible? I was wondering if theres a secret code on every picture which tracks back to web links where its been used or something like that?

No, you would have to search the appstore to find out. Look at the screenshots, I find it easier to search in itunes rather then search on the phone as you can see alot more at once.

Some programs may put the information is the EXIF data, but this would be uncommon. If you download the image, you can right click on it, go to the summary tab, and then expand it to advanced. It might say there. If it is not there, then you need to ask. Or just figure out how to do it on your own. Typically, there are a lot of ways to get the same look.

You can't often tell, unless it was an application like Photoshop, which leaves EXIF information appended to the file.

Phone apps typically don't do that, and uploading to most image sharing sites strips the EXIF data anyway.

You can read the EXIF data, if it's there. You can check the image file's properties in Windows and see the EXIF data, or you can use an EXIF reader.

    You don't. You ask them.
