Which do you look for in preparing for you fantasy baseball season, projections or the previous year's stats?

i usually go by last years stats for hitters, more so than for pitcher

I am more interested in what they will do this year. not the past.. With that being said.. I do take into consideration their history. The fact that cliff lee has had steady numbers for 6 years with out one year of showing decline interests me. I pretty much will know what i am going to get..
