Cheap way to spoil my horse?

what better way to show your love then to just love your horse! it's easy and free, all you need is time. just sitting with him in the pasture creates a great connection. and never underestimate what grooming can do ;) (especially during shedding season) stretch his legs and massage them :) you can look up how on youtube.

trick training is a good way to keep you both entertained plus you can show off to your friends and family!

you can use a clicker or treats for trick training.

my favourite treat recipe is for horse cakes

2 1/2 cups of oats

1 cup molasses

2 tbs oil

1 carrot

1 apple

combine all ingredients until everything is well mixed

bake at 400 until golden brown ;)

Maybe go to a local store and see what kind of treats they have. Also see what salt and vitamin licks they have.

I remember some treats that were apple flavored. A friend's horses loved them, so did their cows.

Maybe there's a type of fruit or other kind of food that your horse likes.

Some things that horses I've meet liked are:

Soda (he'd pick up the can and drink the soda)

Sugar Cubes

Apples

Carrots

I usually feed my horses carrot scraps, or just plane old carrots that I wouldn't eat anymore. This goes for other fruits and veggies also, such as apples. They love it! That way food doesn't go to waste and my horses can have a treat (:

You can get vitamin licks, horses love them, vitamin licks can be given to horses as a treat, also you can get nature valley bars, I know their for humans but they contain barely and oats ect.. My horse loves them! And plenty of fruit and veg too, horses love treats:) and as for your sisters horse, when she's getting nervous when you wash her pat her on the neck and talk to her to keep her calm, horses listen:) and don't forget to give her a treat afterwards too..
