Trouble displaying pictures on canon camera?

So I have a Canon Rebel XS that I use to take pictures with all the time. So now I decided I wanted to start taking pictures again but for some reason after I take the picture and click the button to display the picture it doesn't show me the full picture. It just stays like a small icon. I'm really bad at explaining lol but if anyone thinks they know how to help me please let me know!

The XSi has the option to display the image alone or with shooting data and histogram.

Select picture view then press the "disp" button repeatedly to scroll through the options.

If you have 9 or 16 icons then press the "+" button to go full screen.

I used to own an XS, an excellent camera. One thing you might also try is a new card. Could be it's gone bad. You'll notice on the back of the card there are several connections... some record data some output data. If the output side is bad you'll get nothing to display.

Have you uploaded any? If they upload fine then it's not the card. As suggested earlier could be in your settings. I'd suggest checking the manual to find the menu that controls display and check how you've got that set up.

Your Preview is set to thumbnail. Roll the wheel to the right (or was it to the left) to make it bigger.

Have you checked the manual ?

If you don't have a paper copy, you can download a free .pdf one from Canon.
