Taking citalopram for depression and OCD?

I've been diagnosed with depression and OCD and recently been giving citalopram to take 'k about to go for my two week appointment with my GP but I still haven't taken it. I feel completely out of control all the time and since I've stopped seeing my psychologist (get 6 appointments every 6 months because of government funding). Things have become so much worse.

My brain just won't let me take the pills, I'm obsessed with the idea that they're going to poison my body or that I've created all this mental illness in my head and there's really nothing wrong with me and if I take them I'll die or something.I just really need some reassurance as I'm scared if I refuse to take them my GP and psychologist will give up on me and then I'll never get better as I've been feeling a lot more suicidal than usual lately.

So do any of you take citalopram or another SSRI? and do you think it's worth it?

I was on them for about a month before I stopped taking them, I wasn't depressed as much as I was anxious when my doc prescribed them for me, but after starting them and giving them time to kick in the depression went crazy. I was going through a health crisis in a for a bit and the pills made me, a man in college, cry like it was nothing. Now my neuro prescribed me klonopin to help ease the symptoms. I think I'm gona leave the citalopram alone for a bit though.
