is being asocial wrong? how can I get people to leave me alone?
Much of the time I would rather be left alone to my owns ideas. Yet, when I go to the gym or other places people want to ask me about myself and engaged me in small talk. I would rather be left alone to do what I came to place to do. How can I do that in a nice way? Furthermore, do you think it is necessary for people to be socialable and it is rude if people don't want to be?

Many famous persons like geniuses were a social. You just need to try to avoid or go when not so many people are around. Dont be intimidated by those who say you have issues.

It isn't wrong. You're just an introvert.
It would be rude to just tell them to f' off since they're just trying to be friendly.
Try being boring. Do you know a lot about a topic that would just fly over everyone's heads. When they try talking to you just talk nonstop about that until they leave you alone out of boredom. Warning, in some cases they might coincidentally turn out to be interested or even to know about it but then they might be just the type of people to make friends with.

i guess the ole saying..." i get along with myself quite well..." has ,merit.
I live among people who I find to be very snotty.....back biting and untrustworthy...so my first instinct is to just stay to myself where ever i go....
Its not that I am snotty...I just dont have anything in common with these people....
I enjoy many talents......and after 6 kids leaving home.....I find staying to myself quite rewarding .
I think the more you are quiet when in public................the greater the massage of..leave me alone
and as you can see...your not alone in your feelings

You have some deeper issues. You act like it's some else's fault for being friendly. You must be barrels of fun at parties!
