Ok so I bought my girlfriend a $2000 white gold diamond necklace our 1 year comes up in a month and a half but prom where we had our first kiss is in 10 days can I give her the necklace then it matches her dress and I think it will be special so what do you think

That's a very expensive gift.
You can gift it on prom if you would like to. But I think you should probably gift on your 1st relationship anniversary year because that day would be special for both of you and gift act as a reminder for her as your long lasting relationship.

Isn't that too much for a first anniversary. I mean its not a wedding gift but a relationship anniversary gift. However, if you wish to present that to her, give it on prom but be clear that it is an anniversary present. Let her decide if she wants to wear it for prom or for anniversary.

For one year $2000 gift? Unless you and her are very well off that's a pretty pricy gift. Especially for someone prom age. Be careful you don't want her to feel like she owes you because of the extravagant gifts.
