Beginner Workouts for heavily out of shape people? (Not fat, just unfit)?
I'm really really out of shape now and I'm starting to gain weight too, but I don't know any beginner work outs so I can get used to pushing my body past its limit a bit.
Also, I have an arch in my lower back when I lie down so please not so much leg lifts on the floor type stuff, it gives me really sharp pain. (if you have clues as what this could be caused by, I'd like to know)

For thighs and butt: Lay down 10-12 normal playing cards. Squat to pick up the first one and then move to the second one. Squat to lay down your first card, lift all the way up, and then squat to pick it up again, lift all the way up, and then squat to pick up your other card. Move to the third card. Keep doing this until you get to the last card. WARNING: You will be VERY sore after this! Don't stop though. Do this every other day throughout the week.
