The big misconception is that the problem of Politics, can be solved with MORE Politics.

    Politics IS the problem.

It isn't, nor has it ever been. Not sure where you got this notion from, but I suspect it came from some crackpot conspiracy site.

IDK about that assertion, but I know he gave Adolf Hitler (NAZI's) gifts. Those gifts helped with the 3rd Reich. He also did this without consent of King George VI. The NAZI did try to make their own engines and weapons, with some success. But before all of the madness broke out, he sent Rolls Royce (or Bentley) engines to Hitler for his aircraft. He was also a drunk.

If you're going through hell, keep going.

We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.

I may be drunk, Madam, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly.

I';m in the UK... should I expect the police soon? No, we still live in a society of free speech. ;)
