RELIGION QUESTIONS HELP?!?
Compare and contrast the primary concerns of Christians in previous historical periods with those of Christians today. Is the division between the Sacred and the Secular a modern concern? In what ways have Christians responded to this division?

Ecclesiastical Separation ( you can google its meaning ) has its very foundation in 1 Corinthians 11:18-19 Ecclesiastical Separation can take place on many levels even on personal and individual levels. The problem, when deducted, is Christianity versus Legalism and this hasn't changed in 2, 000 years. Bare with me here and follow along.
Christianity works on the following factual principles:
1 John 1:8-10 Christians are sinners...
James 3:2 we stumble in many ways and put our faith in the only perfect one Jesus Christ...
1 John 2:1 he advocates for us when we ( Christians ) sin...
Romans 8:34 and he intercedes for us...
these truths are the basic facts of Christian faith. You follow?
On the other hand is legalism and legalists who use God's law in order to condemn and live by the law and under the law.
Legalists deny the following:
Romans 1:17
Romans 3:28
Romans 4:5
Romans 4:13
Romans 5:1
2 Corinthians 4:18
2 Corinthians 5:7
as well as they deny a ton of other truths about faith in Jesus Christ because they try their hardest to live under rules and regulations not fit for Christians with faith in Jesus Christ.
These legalists paint a false picture of Christianity. One based on successes and failures. In truth there is neither success or failure because our victory was claimed at the cross long ago. This division between Christians and legalists, bent on legalism, persists to this very day as it did during the early Christian Church.
It has never been said that, "Christians were once sinners who once needed Jesus Christ" however it is said that, "Christians are sinners who need Jesus Christ".
