I think I have pyelonephritis and antibiotics make me worse.?

I get a good 1/2-1 teaspoon of blood when I pee as of yesterday and I've been suffering with a UTI for years that has never been able to be treated with antibiotics (Makes me get a Yeast Infection) or even staying hydrated and taking loads of cranberry pills.

I don't have healthcare in the state Im in so all I did was order D mannose in hopes it'll help. What else should I try because I doubt seeing a doctor would help at all.

See a doctor. UTIs are pretty easily treated. And honestly, if you need antibiotics, your doctor will prescribe them regardless of whether you get a vaginal yeast infection. Yeast infections are annoying but not particularly dangerous. Try taking probiotics or eating yogurt with active cultures.

You need to see a urologist. You need a lab test of your urine for culture and sensitivity. An ultrasound of your kidneys and bladder will help with a diagnosis. This condition will not get well without treatment. Contact your local Health Department for help in getting treatment. That is one of their jobs.

You think you have a kidney infection, and you have blood in your urine?

I think you should go to the doctor ASAP. Go to the ER if you start running a fever.

Antibiotics kill bacteria, and that can leave you open to vaginal yeast infections. But a kidney infection can really be life threatening, while a vaginal infection is simply painful.

When you see the doctor, explain the previous problems with yeast infections, and they will probably give you an anti-fungal to keep that from happening.

But honestly, a bleeding kidney is not something to treat on your own.

HTH, good luck, and I would appreciate it if you would pick a Best Answer since we cannot vote for Best Answers anymore.
