does amazon prime deliver on Sunday?

I ordered something with prime for the first time, and the delivery estimate is Sunday, and I've never had an estimate saying Sunday. I ordered it Friday.

    u s postal service has been delivering amazon parcels in new york city and los angeles on sunday since november 2013. they just added 15 more cities.

    The cities that Sunday delivery is expanding to are: Indianapolis; Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky; New Orleans and Shreveport, Louisiana; Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio; Oklahoma City; Philadelphia; Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Waco and College Station, Texas.
