Does it matter how an egg is mixed in with ground beef?
I'm making stuffed peppers for dinner tonite. I've got it all made and it's just waiting to be put in the pot and cooked.
when I was mixing ingredients in the beef, my brother got out the egg and actually whipped it with an egg beater.
My question is, does it matter if the egg is whole, mixed a little or whipped?
Thanks.

No it doesn't matter, just be sure to mix it into the beef mixture very well so there's not a clump of egg in one spot.

I usually just stir the egg with a fork as if I were making scrambled egg. It does NOT need an egg beater...lol.
You really DO NOT want to over mix the beef. Ground beef should be handled as little as possible or it gets TOUGH when cooked.
So yes, I generally mix whatever ingredients I'm adding to the beef separately and then gently add them into the beef with my hands at the end.

It shouldn't make a difference as long as you mix it thoroughly with the meat, and it would probably mix in better if it is beaten first.
(I love stuffed peppers)
