You'll never know how old she is, it's simply impossible to find out. But really, it doesn't matter!
Thank you for rescuing her though. You may have saved her life! And it may be possible to get her not to be scared of men. Invite a man over who you know will be ok with just sitting there. Have some tasty treats on hand, such as cereal or pieces of hot dog or chicken. Have your man friend sit on the couch our something, an have your dog on the other side of the room. Give her treats and praise, especially if she gets closer to the couch. She may learn that men are ok and won't hurt her.
However, it can be hard to change an abused dog. If this doesn't work after a few tries, just accept that she is terrified and keep her away from men.

The first thing to do when you get ANY new dog, but particularly a potentially abused puppy, is book them in for a check-up at the vets - just to make sure all is well health-wise. They can also give you an estimate of the pup's age - no-one can be 100% sure, but they can give you a guide give or take a few months.
