Ladies, Would you rather have?

His mothers ring set would make it more special. It kinda makes it feel like we officially are the ones making the next generation.

I'm getting married in a few weeks, and we picked out an engagement ring together. As his mother is still alive, there is no way I would have received hers. It wouldn't be right!

Presuming his mother is no longer living, I would be honored to wear her ring. If she were still living, and a guy tried to give me his mother's ring, I'd probably tell him to go to hell. Doing something like that would tell me a lot about him; if he has no respect for his mother, he's certainly not going to respect me.

As to a ring that he buys - I'd prefer that he picked out a ring that is affordable for him, and that he likes. I would not want him to over-spend in the mistaken notion that I want something super-pricey - that's not what it's all about.

It might have deeper meaning to have his motjer's ring but personally I wouldn't want that. I want something that he thought about and knew I would like and spent his time and thought into a really special ring just for me.

I would love to have his mother's ring especially if I am close with her and i he is close with her!
