2005 caravan brake lights stuck on?
2005 grand caravan sxt 3.8 the brake lights are stuck on. I pulled the fuse for brake lights and disconnected the brake light switch and they still stay on. if I unplug the wire harness that goes from the tail lights to the body control module down behind the emergency brake petal the lights go out. I put two body control modules in it and it does the same thing. I was just wondering what would cause it to give out power all the time. they never go out running or turned off and locked
it has a trailer hitch installed but I never used it and the signal lights and four way flashers work fine. have noticed the four ways flash are on all four corners but with my brake lights stuck on the one at the top of the rear window is also stuck on
the third high brake light is on also and they are on steady never go off until you take the battery cable off. the brake switch is disconnected and they are still on and there are no codes

Someone may have moved the adjustment lever on the brake switch or it broke.
QUESTIONS:
Does the 3rd. brake light operate normally or is it stuck "On" with the others?
And do they ONLY stay on then the ignition key is on?
It may be the FCM (Front Control Module) which is inside of the IPM (Integrate Power Module) which provides the drivers to turn on/off the lamps.
TEST/PROCEDURES:
Scan test the PCM for codes:
P0572= Brake Switch 1 Circuit Low
P0573= Brake Switch 1 Circuit High
Check for voltage on the White/Tan wire at the brake switch connector (@ Cavity #2). If voltage is present on the wire, unplug components on the circuit one at a time.
Next check the White/Tan wire for shorts to power.
NOTE:
Most of the interior and exterior lighting functions are governed by the Body Control Module (BCM). The headlamp, brake switches provide signals to the BCM. The BCM in turn sends a PCI (Programmable Communication Interface) bus message to the FCM (Front Control Module) to enable the necessary drivers to set the required illumination configuration.
**The Brake light switch on this vehicle has an adjustment lever on the back of the switch is used to set the switch into the “adjusted” position. A non-adjusted switch will have the lever set to the diagonal position in relation to the switch housing. The plunger can be moved in and out, but the states of the internal switches will not change.
Once installed in the vehicle the new switch's adjustment lever is rotated to the adjusted position as indicated ( Adjustment Lever Movement ). This action locks the plunger to the internal switches. Once in this position the switch is permanently adjusted (or locked) and cannot be readjusted or released even if the lever is moved back!
CAUTION:Never move the adjustment lever of the new brake lamp switch without it being properly installed in the vehicle first. Such action will render the switch unusable and the switch must be discarded.

A couple of wild thoughts...
Does it have a trailer package? A trailer light harness you can disconnect as a quick try?
What happens if you work the Hazard Switch on and off a few times? On some cars the Stop Lights circuits also go through there.
